When making a reservation, a $800.00 deposit is required when renting a Beaver Float Plane & $1,200.00 deposit is required when renting an Otter Float Plane.
Also, the names and weights of all passengers is required.

If any guests have a food allergy please let Joy know so substitutions can be provided.

Deposit is required 2 Weeks in advance.

An invoice will be provide before the departure and the balance will be due at that time.

CANCELLATION FEE:

No charge if picnic is cancelled within 2 weeks of departure date.

Changes 2 to 14 days prior are subject to a 25% fee of total plane charter-less food costs.

Same day cancellation (less than 24 hours prior to departure) is full forfeit of the quoted charter rate.

Changes to existing reservations at any time are subject to the floatplane company dicretion.

Due to unforeseen weather issues…this cancelation policy is open for discussion and will be explained more in detail when reserving a picnic.

Payment made by personal check  need to be received 14 days prior to picnic departure.  Pal Pay is accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: When flying with Kenmore Air Harbor, there is NO  departure or arrival from Lake Union terminal Tuesdays evening from June 1st to Sept. 1st (due to Duck Doge sailboat races)   Departure Tuesday evening are from Kenmore Air Harbor terminal in Kenmore, north end of Lake WA.
All picnic charters depend upon the availability of float plane.


 

If the picnic charter is unable to fly due to inclement weather at the time of the picnic, we will reschedule the picnic later that day or within the next 2 days. If that is not possible, then food will be delivered to guests.

 NW Floatplane Picnics schedules picnics when weather forecast calls for decent weather but sometimes Mother Nature doesn’t’ comply.  This will be discussed when a reservation is made.


What to bring on the picnic:NW floatplane picnics

  • Very casual attire plus a jacket or a sweatshirt
  • A pair of sneakers or sandals that can get wet!
  • Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses
  • Beach blanket and/or towel
  • Camera
  • Bug repellent
  • Airsick pills, if needed.
  • A small backpack and small bag to carry personal items
